About Work Safely at Heights

RIIWHS204E – Work safely at heights. This unit describes a participant’s skills and knowledge required to work safely at heights in the Resources and Infrastructure Industries. This unit it appropriate for those working in operational roles where they are required to perform work at heights where fall protection measures are required.

The subject is nationally recognised and can only be delivered by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) that complies with the governing standards of quality control and quality training and assessment.

Assessment is based on competency i.e. ability to perform tasks to a required standard. Being able to read and write English suitable to understand the regulations and undertake the written test.

Course Overview:

The materials in this program provide the information you need to identify work requirements, identify work procedures and instructions, access and install equipment, perform work at heights and clean-up work area. Working at heights includes any situation where a worker, or other nearby person, is exposed to a risk of falling (from one level to another) that is likely to cause the worker or person injury.

Course Cost:

This course attracts a fee of $295.00 per participant and is GST exempt. These fees cover all training, assessment, use of machinery/equipment, stationary (books, pens, use of calculator and resources) and most importantly, the amazing experience.

A 50% deposit is required when making a booking as spaces are limited. Corporate rates and group pricing is also available.

Deposits are fully refundable if your booking is cancelled with more than 7 days’ notice from your course start date. If the booking is cancelled within seven or less days’ notice, then only 50% of the booking fee is refundable.

The full course fee must be paid prior to the final assessment and prior to issuing any official course outcome documentation (Statement of Attainment). In the event that we have not received the full payment, we will withhold the documentation which will then be sent via Registered Mail upon receipt of payment, at no additional cost. Upon completion of the course, the participant will be issued a statement of attainment in the above unit.

  • Participants must be 18 years of age or older
  • All participants need to be able to speak and understand English

Dress Code:

PPE must be worn, steel cap safety boots, high visibility clothing and hard hat.

Upon Successful Completion:
